Turkey visas, from Pakistan.

Online visa for tourism or commerce only — single entry, stay of up to 30 days, e-Visa valid 180 days from the stated start date. Pakistani nationals qualify only as a conditional nationality: a still-valid Schengen, UK, US or Irish visa or residence permit is mandatory and is checked at the airport.

• Ordinary passport valid at least 60 days beyond the end of the intended stay
• Valid (unexpired) Schengen, UK, US or Irish visa or residence permit, carried on the trip
• Confirmed return ticket and hotel booking or host address
• Credit or debit card in the applicant's own name for online payment

The short-stay visa for Pakistanis who do not qualify for the e-Visa, lodged with biometrics at the Türkiye visa application centre appointed for Pakistan or at the Turkish mission. Legally up to 90 days in any 180-day period, though consulates frequently issue shorter, single-entry validity on a first application.

• Pre-application form completed at visa.gov.tr, printed and signed
• Biometrics and originals submitted in person at the appointed visa application centre
• Six months of personal bank statements plus salary slips or business registration and tax returns
• Confirmed flight reservation, hotel booking and travel insurance for the whole stay

The short-stay visa lodged under the commerce/business purpose — meetings, contract negotiation, machinery inspection and trade fairs in Istanbul, Bursa and Izmir. Widely used by Pakistani textile, surgical instrument and rice exporters. It does not permit paid employment in Türkiye.

• Signed invitation letter from the Turkish company or fair organiser, with their tax number
• Pakistani company registration (SECP or firm registration), chamber of commerce membership and NTN certificate
• Company and personal bank statements for the last six months
• Return flight reservation and confirmed accommodation
• Cover letter on company letterhead setting out the business purpose and who pays the costs

Short-stay visa lodged under the medical treatment purpose, for care at a Turkish hospital or clinic — a large and growing market for Pakistani patients. One relative may travel alongside under the accompaniment (refakat) purpose.

• Appointment confirmation or acceptance letter from the Turkish hospital or clinic
• Medical reports and a referral letter from the treating doctor in Pakistan
• Proof of funds or hospital payment/deposit receipt covering the estimated cost
• Accommodation booking and return travel details
• NADRA family registration certificate or birth/marriage certificate for any accompanying relative

The consular study visa issued on the strength of a Turkish university acceptance letter (Kabul Mektubu). You must enter on this visa and then apply online at e-ikamet (goc.gov.tr) for a student residence permit within the first month of arrival — the visa alone does not authorise a long stay.

• Original acceptance letter from a YÖK-recognised Turkish university
• Matric, FSc/A-level and degree certificates and transcripts, apostilled by MOFA Pakistan and sworn-translated into Turkish
• Proof of tuition payment or scholarship award, plus evidence of living funds

The Turkish government's fully funded scholarship for bachelor's, master's and PhD study — tuition, accommodation, a monthly stipend, health insurance, one return flight and a year of Turkish language. It is a funding award, not a visa: successful candidates still obtain the education-purpose student visa. Success rates are low, with a few thousand places against well over a hundred thousand applications worldwide.

• Online application at turkiyeburslari.gov.tr within the annual window
• Academic average of roughly 70% for bachelor's, 75% for master's and PhD, and 90% for medicine and health sciences
• Age under 21 for bachelor's, under 30 for master's, under 35 for PhD on the application date
• Scanned passport or NIC, transcripts, certificates, and reference and motivation letters
• Attendance at the online or in-person interview if shortlisted

Entry visa for enrolment at a TÖMER or licensed Turkish language centre, converted after arrival into a short-term residence permit for language study. It may be granted at most twice, so total stay for language study is capped at two years, and it does not permit work.

• Enrolment or invitation letter from an accredited TÖMER or licensed language school
• Receipt showing the course fee has been paid
• Bank statement evidencing sufficient monthly funds for the whole course period
• Private health insurance valid in Türkiye and a registered address (tenancy contract or notarised undertaking)
• Passport valid at least 60 days beyond the requested permit

Under Article 31 of Law No. 6458, graduates of Turkish higher-education institutions may apply within six months of graduation for a short-term residence permit of up to one year to look for work. It grants no right to work — an employer must still obtain a work permit before you can be paid.

The main employment route. You lodge a work visa application at the Turkish mission in Pakistan and your Turkish employer files the matching application online with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. The permit is tied to that employer and that job, is first granted for up to one year, and doubles as your residence permit.

• Signed employment contract meeting the Ministry's minimum-wage multiple for the role (about 6.5x for senior managers, 4x for engineers and architects)
• Employer normally employing at least five Turkish citizens per foreign worker and meeting the Ministry's capital or turnover test
• Degree and experience letters apostilled by MOFA Pakistan with sworn Turkish translation
• Employer to file the online application within 10 working days of your consular reference number
• SGK (social security) registration and address registration at the local nüfus office after arrival

Indefinite work and residence card for highly qualified professionals, scientists, academics, strategic investors and recognised cultural or sporting figures, awarded against the Ministry's scoring criteria. It begins with a three-year transition period; the restriction must be lifted by applying during the final 180 days of that period, or the card is cancelled. Spouse and dependent children receive linked residence documents.

• Senior, expert or academic role paying a high multiple of the minimum wage (about 6.5x for executive posts)
• Documented qualifications, publications, patents, investment volume or jobs created in Türkiye
• Sponsoring Turkish employer, university, institution or registered investment
• Degrees, CV and reference letters apostilled by MOFA Pakistan with sworn Turkish translation
• Application to lift the transition-period restriction filed within the final 180 days of the three years

Entrepreneurs who establish or buy into a Turkish company can obtain a work permit as a shareholder-director. A practical base for Pakistani traders, textile exporters and logistics businesses — but it is a genuine trading requirement, not a paper company.

• Registered Turkish limited or joint-stock company with the paid-in capital shown in the trade registry
• Directorship plus a shareholding of at least 20% valued at not less than TRY 40,000
• Trade registry gazette, tax registration certificate, signature circular and business plan
• Turkish tax number and a corporate bank account in the company's name
• Employment and turnover conditions met by the first renewal, evidenced by SGK filings

Owning a residential property supports a renewable short-term residence permit of up to two years, with linked permits for spouse and minor children. Since 2023 the property must be valued at USD 200,000 or more, and many neighbourhoods in Istanbul, Antalya and other cities are closed to new foreign residence registration. It gives no right to work and no direct route to citizenship.

• Title deed (TAPU) registered in the applicant's own name
• SPK-licensed valuation report showing at least USD 200,000
• Residential property in a neighbourhood still open to foreign registration, used as the applicant's home
• Turkish tax number, Turkish bank account and valid private health insurance
• Bank statement showing sufficient monthly income for each family member
• DASK earthquake insurance and utility subscription in the owner's name

USD 400,000 in real estate held for three years, or USD 500,000 in bank deposits, government bonds, investment fund shares or fixed capital, can lead to citizenship for the investor, spouse and under-18 children with no physical residence, interview or language requirement. Approval remains discretionary. Note that Türkiye is not in the EU or Schengen — a Turkish passport gives no right to live or work in Europe.

• SPK-licensed valuation and a title deed carrying the three-year no-sale annotation
• Purchase funds transferred in USD through Turkish banks with documented source of wealth — Pakistani applicants face detailed AML and source-of-funds checks
• Certificate of Conformity issued by the relevant Turkish ministry
• Police character certificates and valid passports for every family member included

Stage one, applied for in Pakistan: the consular visa for the spouse and dependent children of a Turkish citizen, or of a foreigner legally resident in Türkiye, allowing entry so the family residence permit can then be obtained in-country.

• NADRA marriage certificate and children's birth certificates, apostilled by MOFA Pakistan and sworn-translated into Turkish
• Sponsor's Turkish ID (kimlik), or their residence and work permit if a foreign national
• Sponsor's payslips or tax returns showing monthly income of at least the minimum wage plus one third of it per family member

• Foreign sponsors to evidence at least one year of lawful residence in Türkiye

Stage two, applied for in Türkiye at e-ikamet: the permit for the spouse, minor children and dependent adult children of a Turkish citizen or of a permit-holding foreigner. Granted for up to three years at a time and never beyond the sponsor's own permit. Spouses of Turkish citizens may apply for citizenship after three years of marriage.
