Malaysia visas, from Pakistan.

Malaysia's fully online single-entry visit visa for tourism or visiting family and friends. The visa must be used within three months of issue, and Immigration normally grants a stay of up to 30 days at the counter — the final length is the officer's decision.

• Passport valid at least 6 months beyond travel with two blank pages
• Confirmed return flight booking and hotel bookings covering the whole stay
• Bank-stamped personal statements for the last 3–6 months showing sufficient funds
• Recent white-background photograph and a colour scan of the passport bio page
• Free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) submitted at least 3 days before arrival

For meetings, contract negotiations, trade fairs, factory inspections and after-sales visits. Most Pakistani applicants are issued a single-entry business visa; the Multiple Entry Visa, issued by Immigration for business and government matters, runs 3 to 12 months with up to 30 days per entry. Paid employment in Malaysia is not permitted on either.

• Invitation letter from an SSM-registered Malaysian company stating its registration number, the purpose and dates of the visit and who bears the costs
• Letter from your Pakistani employer on letterhead confirming position, salary and approved leave — or your own firm's SECP registration and FBR/NTN documents
• Six months of personal and company bank statements plus copies of previous visas and entry stamps
• Passport valid longer than the visa period requested (at least 12 months if you are asking for a 12-month multiple-entry visa)
• Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) submitted at least 3 days before each arrival

The standard route for bachelor's, master's and PhD study at MOHE-approved public and private universities, including UK and Australian branch campuses. The institution applies through EMGS for an electronic Visa Approval Letter (eVAL), after which you collect the single-entry visa with reference at the Malaysian High Commission in Islamabad.

• Offer letter from an institution registered with EMGS, for a programme approved by MOHE/MQA
• Academic transcripts and certificates attested by IBCC/HEC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Passport valid at least 12 months with at least two blank pages
• EMGS health examination form completed in Pakistan, plus a second medical screening at an EMGS panel clinic within 7 days of arriving in Malaysia
• Proof of tuition payment or a scholarship/sponsor letter, plus evidence of living funds

Malaysia's main employer-sponsored work pass, filed by the Malaysian company through ESD/MYXpats and tied to one employer and one position, for employment periods of up to 60 months. It is also the pass used by foreign owners and directors of a Malaysian Sdn Bhd once the company meets its paid-up capital requirement.

• Signed job offer meeting the salary band for your category and sector under the Revised Expatriate Salary Policy effective 1 June 2026 (basic salary only, allowances excluded; a Category III band of RM 7,000–9,999 applies to manufacturing and manufacturing-related services employers)
• Degree or diploma and experience letters, attested by HEC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Malaysian High Commission
• Employer registered with ESD holding an approved expatriate post or quota
• Succession plan from the employer showing how local staff will be trained to take over the role
• Visa With Reference collected at the Malaysian High Commission in Islamabad before travel

A short-term pass of up to 12 months for specialists, trainers, auditors, engineers and technicians who stay on a foreign employer's payroll while performing work for a Malaysian company. It is the usual vehicle for intra-company assignments and installation or commissioning projects.

• Service or secondment agreement between the Malaysian host company and your overseas employer
• Letter from your overseas employer confirming you remain employed and paid outside Malaysia for the assignment period
• Certificates or licences evidencing the specialist skill, plus a job scope letter from the host company
• Malaysian host company registered with ESD and acting as sponsor
• Visa With Reference collected in Pakistan before entry

Malaysia's digital nomad pass, run by MDEC for freelancers, independent contractors and remote employees earning from foreign clients. Issued for 3 to 12 months and renewable once, for a maximum stay of 24 months. Open to all nationalities except Israeli citizens, and dependants — spouse, children and parents — may be included.

• Annual income above USD 24,000 from non-Malaysian sources for tech professionals, or above USD 60,000 for eligible non-tech professionals
• Active contracts with foreign clients or a foreign employment contract covering the intended stay
• Three months of bank statements plus recent payslips or client invoices matching the declared income
• CV showing a digital, IT or other eligible professional background
• Passport valid at least 12 months and health or travel insurance covering your stay in Malaysia
• Single-entry visa with reference collected in Pakistan after MDEC approval — Pakistani nationals still need an entry visa

MDEC-endorsed passes for technology founders. The New Entrepreneur Pass is a 1-year Professional Visit Pass for early-stage founders without a track record (up to two co-founders per company, renewable on hitting first-year milestones); the Established Entrepreneur Pass is a 5-year Residence Pass for founders with more than two years of proven business experience, and allows dependants.

• Technology or digital business plan submitted for MDEC endorsement
• Bank statements showing personal or company funds at the level MDEC currently requires (we confirm the figure before filing)
• Incorporation documents for a Malaysian Sdn Bhd for the Established Entrepreneur route
• Degree certificate or documented entrepreneurial and technical track record, with company registration and revenue or funding evidence
• Passport valid at least 12 months and a police clearance certificate from Pakistan

The long-stay residence programme run by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, now in four categories: Silver (5 years), Gold (15 years), Platinum (20 years) and a 10-year Special Economic/Financial Zone tier. All are renewable multiple-entry social visit passes, not permanent residence. Silver allows no work or business; Platinum permits both.

• Fixed deposit in a licensed Malaysian bank — USD 150,000 (Silver), USD 500,000 (Gold) or USD 1,000,000 (Platinum); up to 50% may be withdrawn after approval for property, education, medical or tourism spending
• Compulsory purchase of a Malaysian residence after approval — from RM 600,000 (Silver), RM 1,000,000 (Gold) or RM 2,000,000 (Platinum) — which cannot be sold for 10 years
• Main applicant aged 25 or above (SEZ/SFZ tiers: 21+, or 50+ for the lower deposit), applying through a MOTAC-licensed MM2H agent
• Presence in Malaysia of 90 cumulative days a year for applicants aged 25–49, which may be met by the principal and/or dependants; no minimum stay for applicants aged 50 and above
• Medical check-up at a MOTAC-appointed panel clinic and approved medical insurance for the principal and every dependant after approval
• Police clearance certificate from Pakistan and documented, legal transfer of the deposit under State Bank of Pakistan remittance rules

For the spouse and children under 18 — including legally adopted children under 18 — of an Employment Pass holder. Validity matches the sponsor's pass, and it can be cut short if the dependant's passport expires first. A Dependant Pass does not permit work: a dependant who takes a job must obtain their own Employment Pass.

• Sponsor's valid Employment Pass and an employer letter confirming employment, position and salary
• NADRA computerised marriage certificate (nikah nama) and children's NADRA birth certificates, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Malaysian High Commission
• Passports valid at least 12 months for every family member
• Sponsor's recent payslips or EA form showing income to support the family in Malaysia
• A separate Employment Pass application if a dependant intends to work

The settlement route for the foreign husband or wife of a Malaysian citizen, granted for periods of up to five years at a time. Once endorsed in the passport it permits work, business or professional practice without converting to an Employment Pass. Permanent Resident status may be applied for after five continuous years, but approval is discretionary.

• Pakistani nikah nama attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Malaysian mission, with the marriage registered or endorsed at JPN in Malaysia
• Malaysian spouse's MyKad, sponsorship letter and proof of income, employment and Malaysian address
• Statutory declaration by the Malaysian spouse sworn before a Commissioner for Oaths, with photograph attached
• Evidence of a genuine relationship — photographs, correspondence and joint finances — and both spouses attending the Immigration interview
• Applicant holding a valid pass throughout the application, with passport valid at least 12 months
• For a work endorsement: employment letter and contract on company letterhead with an RM 10 revenue stamp, plus the employer's SSM registration

Allows parents and parents-in-law, and children over 18 including legally adopted children over 18, of an Employment Pass holder to live in Malaysia alongside the principal. Duration follows the principal's pass and the holder has no work rights — an Employment Pass is required to work.

• Principal's valid Employment Pass, employer confirmation letter and recent payslips or bank statements
• NADRA family registration certificate and birth certificates proving the relationship, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Malaysian High Commission
• Medical insurance covering the dependant in Malaysia, plus a health screening for elderly parents
• Letter of undertaking from the principal to support and repatriate the dependant
• Passports valid at least 12 months for each applicant
