Permanent Residence Permit for Investors (Category F)
Cyprus's flagship investment route grants non-EU nationals a permanent residency status with no expiry date, based on a qualifying real estate investment and proven income from abroad rather than local employment.
- Qualifying real estate investment in Cyprus (from €300,000 plus VAT)
- Secured annual income from abroad of at least €9,568, plus €15,000 for a spouse and €10,000 per dependent child
- €30,000 fixed deposit in a Cyprus bank, held for a minimum of 3 years
- Clean criminal record certificate
- No intention to be employed in Cyprus (passive shareholding and dividend income are permitted)
Digital Nomad Visa
Allows remote employees and freelancers who work exclusively for employers or clients outside Cyprus to relocate and reside legally while continuing their work online.

Business Facilitation Unit Skilled Worker Permit
A fast-track residence and work permit for professionals hired by companies of foreign interest registered with Cyprus's Business Facilitation Unit, with approvals typically issued within a month and no local labour-market test.
- Employment offer from a BFU-registered company of foreign interest
- Minimum gross monthly salary of €2,500
- University degree, or 2+ years of relevant experience

Startup Visa
A dedicated route for non-EU entrepreneurs, solo or in teams of up to five, to establish and grow an innovative, high-growth-potential startup registered in Cyprus.
- Minimum €20,000 in startup capital for founding teams (€10,000 for solo founders), from savings, VC or crowdfunding
- Detailed business plan demonstrating innovation and scalability
- At least 25% equity held by each non-EU founder in the Cypriot startup
- Approval by the national Startup Visa evaluation committee
Migrant Domestic Worker Permit
A sponsored work and residence permit letting households in Cyprus employ a live-in domestic worker or carer from abroad, with the employer managing the application through the Migration Department.
- Sponsoring employer meeting minimum annual income thresholds (from €24,000, rising with number of dependants)
- Employment contract registered with the Migration Department

Researcher Permit (Hosting Agreement Route)
Distinct from the standard student visa, this permit lets third-country researchers and PhD candidates reside in Cyprus under an approved hosting agreement with a Cyprus university or research organisation.
