Seychelles visas, from Pakistan.

Seychelles issues no tourist visa to any nationality. Pakistani travellers apply online for the Travel Authorisation before boarding, and Immigration grants a free visitor's permit of up to three months on arrival — provided the ticket, accommodation and funds check out at the border.

• Passport valid for the whole of the intended stay

• Confirmed return or onward air ticket
• Booking confirmation for licensed tourist accommodation covering every night of the stay
• Bank statement or cash/card evidence of at least US$150 per day of stay
• Accurate Seychelles address on the arrival declaration — false declarations are an offence

Extends the initial three-month visitor's permit in further three-month blocks, to a maximum total stay of twelve months. Applied for from inside Seychelles, online at permits.ics.gov.sc or in person at Independence House, Victoria. No work of any kind is permitted on it.

• Accommodation booking or host's confirmation for the extension period
• Bank statement showing roughly US$150 per day of funds for the extended stay
• Written reason for the longer stay, with no gainful occupation undertaken in Seychelles

For non-Seychellois accepted onto a course at an approved educational institution in Seychelles, such as the University of Seychelles or the Seychelles Institute of Technology. It carries no right to work.

• Letter of acceptance from the approved Seychelles institution
• Completed Student's Permit application form from ics.gov.sc
• Evidence of financial support for the full course (sponsor's bank statements or scholarship letter)
• Copy of the passport bio-data page and two recent passport photographs
• Full (long-form) birth certificate with English translation and MOFA attestation
• Proof of accommodation in Seychelles if requested by Immigration

The single work permit for Seychelles, tied to one employer, job title and set of duties. The employer applies to Immigration only after the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs issues an approval certificate for the post — you cannot convert a visitor's permit into it after arrival.

• Signed employment contract stating job title, duties, salary and duration
• Degrees and trade certificates attested by HEC/IBCC and the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Experience letters from previous employers on company letterhead
• Medical certificate and police character certificate from the district police
• Security bond lodged by the employer per the ICS security bond fee schedule

The same Gainful Occupation Permit, applied for by the individual rather than an employer, covering investors, business owners and self-employed professionals. The company must be registered and licensed in Seychelles before Immigration will look at the permit, and there is no published minimum investment — each case is assessed on its merits.

• Business plan with proof of the investment funds and their source
• Bank statements evidencing capital and personal financial standing
• Medical certificate, police character certificate and security bond

Five-year residence status for people with a family or domestic connection to Seychelles, or who make a special contribution to its economic, social or cultural life. It grants no right to work — a business owner or employee still needs a GOP — and no free medical services or social security. Granted at ministerial discretion.

• Banker's confirmation and documentary evidence of financial status
• Undertaking to be present in Seychelles at least five days in each twelve months of validity
• Police character certificate — applicant must not be a prohibited immigrant

The only family-reunion permit Immigration publishes, and it works one way only: a Seychellois citizen sponsors a non-citizen spouse and minor children. It does not authorise employment — a spouse who wants to work needs a separate GOP — and it is not available to the families of GOP or Residence Permit holders.

Settled status for people already lawfully resident in Seychelles. Holders may work without a Gainful Occupation Permit and pay half the usual government sanction fee when buying residential property. Immigration publishes no qualifying period and no fee — it is decided case by case at ministerial discretion, so treat it as a long-term goal rather than a route in.

• Record of continuous lawful residence in Seychelles, with no absence exceeding one year without ministerial consent
• No conviction carrying more than one year's imprisonment
• Applicant must not be classified as a prohibited immigrant
• Evidence of settled ties — marriage to a Seychellois, family connection or long-term employment
• Copies of all previous permits plus passport and financial history covering the residence period
