Barbados visas, from Pakistan.

Pakistani passport holders are on Barbados' visa-exempt list and need no visa to visit. The immigration officer at Grantley Adams International decides the exact period stamped in your passport, up to 90 days. We re-confirm the policy before you book, because visa lists change.

• Passport valid for the whole stay, plus a confirmed onward or return ticket
• Hotel booking, or a letter giving your host's name and address in Barbados
• Bank statements for the last 3–6 months showing funds for the trip
• Completed Barbados Immigration & Customs arrival form (online before travel or on board)
• Valid transit or entry visa for every country you connect through — UK, USA, Canada or EU
• Business meetings and conferences are allowed; any paid work in Barbados needs a work permit

Application to the Immigration Department in Bridgetown to remain beyond the period stamped on arrival — used for longer family visits, convalescence and private medical treatment (Barbados has no separate medical visa), and by spouses and children of permit holders who entered as visitors.

• Valid passport, plus a copy of the bio-data page and the arrival stamp
• Ticket covering the extended period, or evidence of your onward travel plan

One student visa route covers school, degree, medical school, vocational and postgraduate study at an institution registered with the Barbados Ministry of Education, for adults and for minors applying through a parent or guardian. It must be obtained before travelling: a provisional decision comes first, then the full visa.

• Form H-1 (Certificate of Eligibility) completed by the school and certified by the Ministry of Education, plus Form H-2 completed by you or, for a minor, by the parent or guardian
• Letter of acceptance from an institution registered or chartered by the Ministry of Education
• Original birth certificate and a copy of the passport bio-data page
• Bank statements or a sponsor's affidavit covering tuition, living and medical costs
• Original Police Certificate of Character for each country lived in 6+ months in the last 3 years (18 and over) — scanned or laminated copies are refused
• Course timetable and outline and proof of accommodation in Barbados; notarised parental consent letter for a minor not travelling with a parent

The principal employer-sponsored route for skilled professionals and intra-company transfers, and the same permit used by entrepreneurs setting up a company on the island. Your Barbadian employer must satisfy the Immigration Department that no Barbadian or resident is capable and willing to fill the role.

• Forms C-1 and C-2, completed by you and by your Barbadian employer
• Detailed employer cover letter covering the business, the role, the period requested and why a non-national is needed
• Medical Form R-1 completed by a doctor, with chest X-rays submitted in report form
• Degrees, diplomas and professional registrations, plus two written character references
• Four passport-sized photographs and a copy of the passport bio-data page
• Self-employed applicants: Certificate of Registration or Articles of Incorporation, business licences, and Central Bank-compliant proof that the investment funds were transferred to Barbados

For contracts, assignments, projects and seasonal or event work lasting under a year, and for training attachments and internships hosted by a Barbadian organisation — the Immigration Department treats those as short-term permits with the same documents and no final fee. The employer or host in Barbados files the application.

• Form C-3 — Application for Short Term Work Permit, filed by the Barbadian employer or host organisation
• Detailed cover letter from the employer or host setting out the work, the dates and the supervision arrangements
• Signed contract or letter of engagement covering the period requested
• Four passport-sized photographs

Barbados' digital-nomad visa: live on the island for 12 months while working remotely for an employer or clients based outside Barbados. Applied for entirely online, renewable by reapplying, and holders pay no Barbados income tax — though you continue paying tax at home and 17.5% VAT on local purchases.

• Evidence of expected income of at least US$50,000 over the 12-month period: employment contract, client contracts, invoices or bank statements
• Work performed only for a company or clients outside Barbados — no local employment and no local business
• Passport bio-data page and one passport photograph for you and each family member aged 18 and over
• Birth or marriage certificates proving the relationship of everyone in a family bundle
• Online application through the official Welcome Stamp portal; the fee falls due only after approval

Barbados' residence permit for high-net-worth individuals, retirees and property owners, allowing you to live on the island and conduct business. Applicants aged 60 and over receive the long-term permit and younger applicants a time-limited one. Published guidance points to substantial net worth or a significant Barbados property investment — we confirm the current thresholds with the Immigration Department before you commit any money. It grants residence, not citizenship.

• Form B application completed by each applicant, with two recent passport-sized photographs
• Original birth certificate and a copy of the passport bio-data page; marriage or divorce documents where applicable
• Title deeds and the most recent land tax bill for any Barbados property (originals and copies)
• Proof of financial resources — bank statements, investment or pension statements, property valuations

• Health insurance valid in Barbados, and birth or marriage certificates for each dependant

Settlement for non-nationals with a long, lawful record of residence in Barbados — in practice after around five continuous years on work permits, or as the spouse of a Barbadian. It confers the right to live and work without a permit.

Residence status for people with a close Barbadian connection — spouses of Barbadian citizens and people of Barbadian parentage — and for self-supporting applicants, including those over 60, who can show independent means or an established business in Barbados.

Spouses of Barbadian citizens may apply to be registered as citizens under the Constitution. Barbados permits dual citizenship, but Pakistan recognises dual nationality only with a fixed list of countries that does not include Barbados — so acquiring it can cost you your Pakistani nationality. Take advice before you file.
