Nauru visas, from Pakistan.
The world's smallest republic: every route runs through a sponsor — plus one genuine citizenship-by-investment programme, with one big catch for Pakistanis.

Nauru Visitor Visa (Tourist)
Nauru's standard short-stay visa for tourism or visiting friends and relatives. It must be approved before travel — the application is lodged with Nauru Immigration, normally by email — and is typically granted for a stay of up to 30 days, with any extension decided in-country at Nauru Immigration's discretion.
- Nauru visitor visa application form, completed and signed, emailed to Nauru Immigration with a colour scan of your passport bio-data page
- Passport valid at least 6 months beyond your intended departure, with two or more blank pages
- Confirmed return or onward Nauru Airlines booking (Brisbane or Nadi routing)
- Paid, confirmed hotel booking in Nauru, or a signed sponsorship letter from a Nauruan resident with a copy of their ID and contact details
- Last 6 months' personal bank statement, stamped by the bank, showing funds for the stay
Nauru Business Visa
Short-stay visa for meetings, contract negotiations, site visits or short technical assignments in Nauru. It cannot be self-sponsored: a Nauru-registered company, contractor or government department must invite you and stand behind the application.
- Signed invitation and sponsorship letter on the letterhead of a Nauru-registered company or government department, naming you and the exact dates
- Letter from your Pakistani employer on letterhead confirming your position, the purpose of travel and who is funding the trip
- SECP incorporation certificate (or Form-A) and FBR NTN certificate of the Pakistani business
- Confirmed return Nauru Airlines booking plus paid accommodation or a host accommodation letter
- Passport valid at least 6 months beyond departure, with copies of previous visas and entry stamps
Nauru Employment Visa (Work Permit)
The employer-sponsored work visa for foreign nationals engaged by a Nauru-registered employer, contractor or government department — most commonly in health, education, construction, aviation and public administration. It is tied to that named employer and role and ends with the contract.
- Signed job offer or employment contract from a Nauru-registered employer or government department stating role, salary, duration and accommodation
- Sponsorship application lodged with Nauru Immigration by that employer — you cannot lodge it yourself
- HEC-attested degree certificates, relevant professional registration (PMDC/PNC/PEC or equivalent) and experience letters from previous employers
- Police character certificate from your District Police Officer, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad
- Medical fitness certificate including chest X-ray for TB from an approved clinic
- Passport valid for the full contract period, plus attested marriage and children's documents if family may follow later
Nauru Media Visa
A separate, discretionary visa class for journalists, film crews and documentary makers. It is the one Nauru visa with a well-documented and very high non-refundable application fee, payable before any decision is made, and refusals — especially for reporting connected to the offshore processing arrangements — are common.
- Assignment and accreditation letter from a recognised media organisation naming every crew member
- Detailed itinerary listing intended interviewees, filming locations and equipment
- Written acknowledgement that the application fee is non-refundable if the visa is refused
- Passport valid at least 6 months beyond departure and a confirmed return Nauru Airlines booking
Nauru Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Programme
Nauru's citizenship-by-investment programme, created by 2024 legislation to fund relocating the island's population inland from the coast. Approved applicants obtain Nauruan citizenship by contribution with no requirement to live in or visit Nauru — but Pakistani applicants must resolve the dual-nationality problem before paying, because Nauru is not a country with which Pakistan permits dual nationality.
- Application filed only through an agent authorised by the Nauru programme office — never a direct transfer to a private "facilitator"
- Written legal advice on Pakistan's dual-nationality rules before payment: Nauru is not on Pakistan's dual-nationality list, so acquiring it can end your Pakistani citizenship
- Written confirmation from the programme office or approved agent that Pakistani nationals are currently eligible, obtained before any money is paid
- Enhanced due-diligence file: verified source of funds, 6–12 months' bank statements, FBR tax returns and wealth statement
- Police character certificate and clean criminal record — certain criminal histories and nationalities are excluded
- Notarised and MOFA-attested passport copies, NADRA birth certificates (CRC) and marriage certificate for each family member

Why Nauru
What makes Nauru worth it
No visa-free entry, no embassy in Pakistan
Pakistani passport holders get no visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry to Nauru, and Nauru has no embassy or consulate in Pakistan. The file goes directly to Nauru Immigration in Yaren, normally by email, backed by a Nauruan sponsor or paid hotel booking. There is no published service standard, so nothing gets booked non-refundably until approval is in hand.
Work is employer-led, not an open market
An employment visa exists only where a Nauru-registered employer, contractor or government department asks for you by name. There is no job-seeker, points-based, skilled-migration or digital-nomad route, and no international student visa route we can confirm — we say that on day one rather than after you have paid.
The citizenship programme is real; so is the dual-nationality catch
Nauru's Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Programme was created by 2024 legislation to fund climate relocation, and contributions start around USD 105,000. But Nauru is not among the countries with which Pakistan permits dual nationality, so taking it can cost you your Pakistani citizenship. We put that in writing, with legal advice, before anyone pays.
The transit visa is usually the harder half
Nauru Airlines is effectively the only carrier, flying from Brisbane and Nadi a few days a week, so you will also need an Australian transit or visitor visa, or a Fiji visa. That application is normally longer and stricter than the Nauru one, so we sequence both together and around the flight schedule.

FAQ
Nauru questions, answered
Can a Pakistani passport holder get a Nauru visa on arrival?
No. Pakistan is not on Nauru's visa-free or visa-on-arrival lists, so written approval must be in hand before you fly. There is no Nauruan embassy or consulate in Pakistan, so the application goes directly to Nauru Immigration in Yaren — normally by email, supported by a Nauruan sponsor or a confirmed, paid hotel booking. There is no published processing standard: several weeks is normal, and follow-up chasing is part of the job.
What is usually the hardest part of a Nauru trip?
Getting there, not the Nauru visa itself. Nauru Airlines operates the only practical services, from Brisbane and Nadi on a few days a week, so you will also need an Australian transit or visitor visa (Pakistani passport holders cannot transit Australia visa-free) or a Fiji visa. Seats are limited and the schedule is thin, so the flight and both visas need planning months ahead.
Is there a study route to Nauru, or a way to bring my family?
There is no international student visa route we can confirm — the University of the South Pacific campus in Nauru mainly serves Pacific-region students — and no job-seeker or self-employment visa. Family can sometimes accompany a sponsored worker, but Nauru does not publish a separate dependant visa class with its own fee or timeline; it is decided case by case inside the same employer sponsorship, so have your employer confirm family entry, accommodation and costs in the contract. Anyone selling a Nauru "study visa" or an open work permit is misleading you.
Is the Nauru citizenship-by-investment passport genuine, and can a Pakistani take it?
The programme is genuine: it was created by Nauru's 2024 citizenship-by-investment legislation, runs only through government-approved agents, and contributions start at about USD 105,000 plus due-diligence, agent and passport fees. Two warnings. First, Pakistan recognises dual nationality only with a fixed list of countries and Nauru is not on it, so acquiring Nauruan citizenship can end your Pakistani citizenship under the Pakistan Citizenship Act 1951 — take legal advice before you commit. Second, the visa-free travel lists agents advertise change often and are frequently overstated. We obtain current eligibility for Pakistani applicants, the fee schedule and the dual-nationality position in writing before any money moves.
