Dominica visas, from Pakistan.

Pakistan is a Commonwealth member state, so Pakistani passport holders enter Dominica without any visa for stays of up to six months — tourism, visiting family or business meetings. Nothing is filed with an embassy beforehand; the actual period granted is stamped by the immigration officer on arrival and can be shorter than six months.

• Passport valid for the whole intended stay (six months' validity recommended)

• Proof of sufficient funds for the stay, such as recent bank statements
• Address of the hotel or host where you will stay in Dominica
• Immigration and Customs (E/D) declaration completed for arrival

Issued by the Passport and Immigration Department at Police Headquarters, Bath Road, Roseau, to visitors who need to remain beyond the period stamped in their passport on arrival. It must be applied for in person before that permission expires.

Dominica issues no separate student visa. Students — most commonly at All Saints University School of Medicine in Roseau or Dominica State College — enter visa-free, hold an extension of stay while the file is processed, and then apply for the general one-year residence permit issued by the Ministry of National Security, Labour and Immigration. It is the same residence permit other applicants use, supported by proof of enrolment.

• Acceptance and enrolment letter from the Dominican institution, with proof of tuition paid
• Passport valid at least six months beyond the application date
• Medical certificate on the Ministry's form, including HIV test and chest x-ray, confirming no communicable disease in the past three years
• Police clearance certificate issued in Pakistan within the last six months
• Banker's statement or sponsor letter covering tuition and living costs, plus two testimonials
• Extension of stay from the Immigration Department maintained while the application is processed

The employer-sponsored permit — no non-national may lawfully work in Dominica without one. Applications go to the Labour Division through the Government's eServices portal and are approved by the Minister responsible for labour. Valid for one year and renewable, and employment lasting more than six months carries residency status with it. The same permit covers people working for their own registered Dominican business, who add two further documents.

• Employer letter stating the type of employment, the wages and a one-year offer
• Three copies of the newspaper advertisement showing the vacancy was advertised locally
• Police record from Pakistan and medical certificate confirming no communicable disease in the past three years
• Two testimonials, one of them from your last employer
• Passport valid at least six months, two photographs, and return ticket or travel deposit
• Self-employed applicants: CIPO certificate of business registration and bank statement showing working capital

Dominica's remote-work visa, allowing you to live on the island for up to 18 months while working for employers or clients not registered in Dominica. Remote income is granted an income tax waiver, personal effects come in duty-free and accompanying children may attend school locally.

• Aged 18 or over and of good character with no criminal record
• Evidence of expected income of US$50,000 or more over the next 12 months, or other means of self-support
• Proof that your work is remote for companies or clients not registered in Dominica
• Family application may include a spouse or partner, children or stepchildren under 18, and any relative wholly dependent on you through age or infirmity
• Visa is issued on arrival and runs for up to 18 months from that date

The general one-year residence permit from the Ministry of National Security, Labour and Immigration, for people who wish to live in Dominica without taking local employment — retirees, self-funded residents and investors who choose to settle. Renewable yearly for up to five years, after which permanent residence can be sought.

• Banker's statement showing you can support yourself without working in Dominica
• Letter from a friend or relative in Dominica accepting responsibility for you
• Medical certificate (including HIV test and chest x-ray) and recent police record from Pakistan
• Passport valid at least six months, two photographs, and return ticket or travel deposit
• Extension of stay maintained throughout while the application is processed

Granted at the Minister's discretion to applicants who have been resident or employed in Dominica for five years. It ends the cycle of annual permit renewals and is the usual step before applying to be registered as a citizen. Forms are obtained from the Labour Division in Roseau.

• Evidence of five years' residence or employment on the island
• Copies of every work or residence permit held since arrival
• Two character references from people who have known you during your time in Dominica
• Banker's statement or employer letter, plus a recent police record
• Medical certificate confirming good health and no communicable disease in the past three years

A non-refundable contribution to the Government's Economic Diversification Fund granting full Dominican citizenship and a Commonwealth passport, with no requirement to reside in or visit Dominica before or after. The programme has operated since 1993. The CBIU quotes 3–4 months to approval; allow longer once the interview, investment payment and certificate are added.

• Minimum US$200,000 EDF contribution for a single applicant; the total rises for each dependant added
• Application filed by a CBIU Authorised Agent — the Unit does not accept direct applications
• Due diligence fees of US$7,500 for the main applicant and US$4,000 per dependant aged 16 or over
• Mandatory interview, usually held virtually, for every applicant aged 16 and over (US$1,000)
• Clean police records from every country of residence and fully documented lawful source of funds
• Dependants permitted: spouse, children under 18, children 18–30 in higher education, unmarried daughters under 25, dependent disabled children, and parents or grandparents over 65

Purchase of government-approved real estate, typically a share in a branded resort development, held for a minimum of three years alongside payment of government fees. It delivers the same citizenship as the fund route but leaves you holding a resaleable asset.

• Minimum US$200,000 investment in a project approved by the CBIU
• Government fees starting from US$75,000 per applicant as published by the CBIU
• Property retained for a minimum of three years before resale
• US$1,000 processing fee per application and US$500 certificate of naturalisation per person
• Due diligence of US$7,500 for the main applicant and US$4,000 per dependant aged 16 or over, plus the mandatory interview
• Application filed through a CBIU Authorised Agent, with full proof of the lawful source of funds

The same general residence permit, applied for by the spouse or family member of a Dominican citizen or permit holder through the Ministry of National Security, Labour and Immigration. It renews yearly and the years count towards the five needed for permanent residence.

Spouses of Dominican citizens, and people long settled on the island, may apply to the Labour Division to be registered as citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica. The Minister decides, and approval is followed by taking the oath of allegiance at the Registry. Qualifying periods are set by the Citizenship Act and confirmed case by case — this is not an alternative route for anyone without a family or residence link.
