EU Blue Card
Belgium's dedicated route for highly qualified non-EU professionals with a recognised higher education qualification and a job offer meeting the regional salary threshold, offering faster access to family reunification and easier intra-EU mobility than a standard work permit. Confirmed live on Belgium's Immigration Office site as the B29 highly-qualified-worker category.
- Higher education diploma (bachelor's degree or above) or comparable professional experience where permitted
- Signed employment contract of at least 1 year meeting the applicable regional salary threshold (set separately by each region and revised annually)

- Health insurance covering at least EUR 30,000 in medical costs, valid across the Schengen area
Professional Card (Self-Employed Permit)
Required for non-EU nationals who want to work as self-employed professionals, freelancers, or business owners in Belgium; issued only after the region reviews the economic viability of the proposed activity.

Intra-Corporate Transfer (ICT) Permit
Lets multinational employers second managers, specialists, or trainee employees from a group entity in Pakistan to a Belgian branch or subsidiary, on a combined work-and-residence permit distinct from the standard Single Permit route. Confirmed live under 'Worker ICT' on Belgium's Immigration Office site.
- Prior employment within the same corporate group for at least 3-12 months immediately before the transfer (exact minimum set by region)
- Assignment/secondment letter detailing role, salary, and duration (max 3 years for managers/specialists, 1 year for trainees)
- Salary meeting the regional ICT threshold (higher for managers than for specialists or trainees)
- Valid passport (6+ months validity)
Seasonal Worker Permit
A short-term, employer-sponsored permit for non-EU nationals to take up seasonal work, mainly in agriculture, horticulture, or tourism, for up to 150 days within any 12-month period.

Researcher Visa (Hosting Agreement)

Airport Transit Visa (Type A)
Required for Pakistani passport holders transiting through the international zone of a Belgian (Schengen) airport without formally entering Belgian territory, since Pakistan is on the common EU list of nationalities needing this visa (Annex III).

Medical Treatment Visa
Issued to applicants travelling to Belgium for a specific, pre-arranged medical procedure, covering the confirmed duration of treatment and recovery. 'Medical reasons' is a recognised purpose-of-travel category on the Schengen visa application form.

- Proof the treatment is paid or guaranteed (insurance letter, bank guarantee, or blocked account)

Marriage / Legal Cohabitation Visa
A long-stay visa for applicants travelling to Belgium specifically to marry or register a legal partnership with a Belgian resident, applied for before the couple can move on to a full family reunification permit.

- Proof of a stable and lasting relationship (cohabitation history or documented regular contact)
