Argentina visas, from Pakistan.

The standard short-stay consular visa for Pakistani travellers, normally granting up to 90 days as a transitory resident and extendable once from inside Argentina. It carries no right to work and no route into residence.

• Passport valid at least six months beyond the intended stay, with two blank pages
• Completed consular application form and recent photographs to the mission's specification
• Confirmed return or onward air ticket plus hotel bookings or a host's invitation covering the whole stay
• Personal bank statements for the last six months with salary slips or business income evidence
• Employer NOC or SECP/FBR business registration, plus property or family papers showing ties to Pakistan

A short-stay transitory residence for meetings, negotiations, trade fairs, supplier audits and contract signing, typically up to 90 days per entry. It does not permit taking up local employment or drawing an Argentine salary.

• Invitation letter from the Argentine company stating purpose, exact dates and who bears the costs
• Letter from your Pakistani employer confirming position, salary and funding of the trip
• Pakistani company registration (SECP certificate and FBR NTN) with the last two years' accounts or tax returns
• Six months of personal and company bank statements
• Confirmed return ticket and accommodation booking for the full visit

A short-validity visa for passengers who must pass through Argentine territory to reach a third country, usually limited to around ten days. Needed when you leave the international transit area or change airports.

• Confirmed onward ticket to the final destination, dated within the transit validity
• Valid visa or entry right for the destination country
• Passport valid at least six months beyond the transit date

A named category under Ley 25.871 for patients travelling to Argentina for care, issued as a transitory residence for short courses of treatment or a temporary residence for longer programmes. One accompanying family member or carer can normally be included.

• Admission letter and written treatment plan from the Argentine hospital or clinic, stating diagnosis, procedure and expected duration
• Referral and medical report from the treating specialist in Pakistan, translated into Spanish
• Paid cost estimate (presupuesto) from the Argentine provider, or bank evidence of funds covering treatment and living costs in full
• Passport, photographs and consular forms for the patient and for any accompanying carer, with documentary proof of the relationship

A long-stay temporary residence for people living on stable passive income arising outside Argentina, such as rental property, dividends, annuities or trust income. Granted for one year and renewable, and it counts toward permanent residence and naturalisation.

• Documented recurring passive income from outside Argentina - tenancy contracts, dividend or annuity statements, trust deeds - covering at least the coming twelve months
• Income certified and legalised by the Argentine consulate; the minimum is fixed in pesos and reset for inflation, so ask the mission for the figure in force that week
• Written confirmation that none of the income derives from work performed inside Argentina
• Pakistani Police Character Certificate, apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad
• NADRA birth certificate, apostilled and translated by a traductor público registered in Argentina
• Health insurance valid in Argentina for the period of residence

The retiree version of the rentista route, for applicants drawing a government or occupational pension from abroad. Renewable annually and a common way for retired parents to settle near family already living in Argentina.

• Official pension award letter from the paying government body or employer, legalised and apostilled
• Bank statements showing the pension actually credited over the last six to twelve months
• Pakistani Police Character Certificate, apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad
• Health insurance covering the whole period of residence in Argentina
• Sworn Spanish translations of every document by a traductor público registered in Argentina

The main study route, covering undergraduate, master's, doctoral and recognised vocational or long language programmes at officially accredited institutions. Granted a year at a time and renewable for the length of the course; programmes under 90 days are normally done on a tourist visa instead. Note that non-resident foreigners may now be charged tuition at national universities.

• Acceptance or enrolment certificate from an institution officially recognised by the Argentine Ministry of Education
• Degree certificates and transcripts, HEC-attested then apostilled by MOFA Islamabad and sworn-translated into Spanish
• Proof of funds or a scholarship award letter covering tuition and living costs for the first year, with six months of bank statements

For visiting professors, invited researchers, doctoral exchange candidates and conference or seminar participants hosted by an Argentine university or research body. Issued as a transitory residence for short visits or a temporary residence for longer academic postings.

• Formal invitation from the Argentine university, CONICET institute or research centre naming the activity and its exact dates
• Host institution's confirmation of funding, stipend or hosting costs, or your own proof of funds for the stay
• Apostilled degree certificates and a full academic CV, translated into Spanish
• Pakistani Police Character Certificate, apostilled, where the stay exceeds six months

Argentina's core employer-sponsored work permit. The Argentine employer must be enrolled in the RENURE register of foreign-worker requesters and files with Migraciones first, after which the consulate issues the visa. The same category covers intra-company transfers where the Argentine entity acts as sponsor.

• Employment contract with an Argentine employer whose RENURE registration is current
• Employer's CUIT, incorporation documents and evidence the RENURE enrolment is active
• Pakistani Police Character Certificate apostilled by MOFA Islamabad, plus certificates from any other country lived in for over a year in the last three years
• Degree or trade qualifications, apostilled and sworn-translated into Spanish
• NADRA birth certificate, apostilled and translated
• Health insurance cover and a passport valid for the contract period

A separate statutory temporary residence for scientists, engineers, technicians and highly specialised staff contracted by Argentine public or private bodies for work requiring specific expertise. It is the closest Argentina comes to a highly-qualified route and runs on its own track from the general worker permit.

• Contract or engagement letter from the Argentine institution, company or CONICET unit stating role, duration and remuneration
• Written justification of the specialised expertise being brought in, with the sponsor's RENURE registration where the sponsor is an employer
• Apostilled degrees, professional registrations and a documented publication or project record
• Pakistani Police Character Certificate, apostilled and sworn-translated

Temporary residence for foreign nationals making a productive investment in an Argentine business or project, approved on an investment plan rather than a passive purchase. It is the practical route for entrepreneurs and self-employed applicants, since Argentina has no separate freelance visa.

• Written investment plan for a productive commercial, industrial, agricultural or service activity, filed with Migraciones
• Evidence of the minimum investment - the figure is fixed in Argentine pesos and periodically reset for inflation, so confirm the amount in force before transferring any funds
• Bank evidence of the transfer into Argentina and documented lawful origin of the funds (tax returns, sale deeds, audited accounts)
• Argentine company incorporation papers, CUIT and share subscription or purchase documents
• Pakistani Police Character Certificate, apostilled and sworn-translated

A named temporary residence category for professional sportspeople, coaches, performers and artists contracted by an Argentine club, promoter or cultural organisation. Duration tracks the contract or the season.

• Signed contract with the Argentine club, federation, promoter or venue covering the full period
• Endorsement from the relevant Argentine federation or association where the sport or discipline requires it
• Documented professional record, portfolio or press file
• Pakistani Police Character Certificate, apostilled and sworn-translated

The statutory family route. Spouses, children and parents of native or by-option Argentine citizens - including the parents of a child born in Argentina - are normally granted permanent residence directly. Registered cohabiting partners, and relatives of naturalised citizens or of permanent residents, usually receive temporary residence first and convert later.

• Marriage certificate, registered unión convivencial certificate or birth certificate proving the link - Pakistani documents apostilled by MOFA and sworn-translated
• The Argentine relative's DNI, and their residence certificate if they are a resident rather than a citizen
• Evidence of a genuine and subsisting relationship in spouse and partner cases (joint documents, correspondence, photographs, sworn statements)
• Pakistani Police Character Certificate apostilled, plus a Registro Nacional de Reincidencia certificate if you have lived in Argentina over a year
• Sponsor's Argentine address proof (utility bill, tenancy agreement or property deed) and identity documents

Allows the spouse or registered partner and minor or dependent children of someone holding Argentine temporary residence - a student, worker, rentista or investor - to join them. The dependants' permits are tied to the principal's and expire with it.
