Trinidad & Tobago visas, from Pakistan.

Pakistani passport holders are visa-exempt. An Immigration Officer grants leave to enter for up to 90 days at Piarco (Port of Spain) or A.N.R. Robinson (Tobago). For tourism, family visits, conferences and short business meetings only.

• Machine-readable passport valid at least 6 months beyond the date of arrival
• Confirmed return or onward ticket dated within 90 days of entry
• Online Arrival/Departure (ED) card completed before travel, giving the full address of your hotel or host
• Bank statements for the last 3-6 months, or a host's letter of invitation and support with their ID
• Yellow fever vaccination certificate if arriving from, or transiting more than 12 hours in, a yellow-fever country (e.g. Panama, Brazil, Nigeria)
• No work or study is permitted on this entry

Visitors already in the country apply to the Immigration Division to extend the stay stamped on arrival, normally in further blocks of up to 90 days at the officer's discretion. The route used for extended family visits, convalescence and private medical treatment.

• Passport plus a copy of the bio-data page and the current entry or extension stamp
• Written request stating the reason for the extension and the intended departure date
• Bank statement or sponsor's letter showing funds covering the extra period
• Proof of address in Trinidad or Tobago — hotel booking, signed lease or host's utility bill
• Appointment booked by email with the Immigration Division office for your region (North, South or Tobago)

A discretionary permit granted by the Minister of Homeland Security under the Immigration Act, allowing a person to enter or remain where the ordinary rules would not otherwise permit it. Used for compassionate, humanitarian and special-circumstance cases — it is an exception, not a route to plan around.

• Completed Application for a Minister's Permit, filed through the Immigration Division
• Signed statement setting out the special circumstances, with dated supporting evidence (medical reports, death certificate, court papers)
• Sponsorship letter from a Trinidad & Tobago citizen, resident, employer or registered institution, with their ID and proof of address
• Police Certificate of Character from Pakistan, MOFA-attested
• Medical report where requested by the Division

Required for the full duration of study by foreign nationals enrolled at a Trinidad & Tobago institution — UWI St Augustine, UTT, COSTAATT, SBCS and registered private colleges — covering degree, postgraduate, research and vocational programmes. Filed through the Immigration Division's online student permit service and renewed each academic year.

• Passport valid for at least one year beyond the course start date
• Original letter of acceptance from an ACTT-accredited Trinidad & Tobago institution
• Digital passport photograph (JPG) and all supporting documents as PDFs for upload
• Receipt for tuition paid, plus bank statements covering living costs for the academic year
• HEC- and MOFA-attested degrees, transcripts and certificates
• Institution's assessment or enrolment form at each renewal

The main employment route. A Trinidad & Tobago-registered employer applies online through TTBizLink to employ a named foreign national in a named post; energy, engineering, construction, medical and IT employers use it most. The permit is tied to that employer and that post — you cannot apply for yourself and cannot change jobs on it.

• Signed job offer and contract from a company registered in Trinidad & Tobago, stating post, salary and duration
• Employer's written justification, with advertising evidence, that no suitably qualified national or CARICOM national is available
• HEC- and MOFA-attested degrees, trade and NDT certificates, professional registrations and CV
• Police Certificate of Character from Pakistan issued within the last 6 months and MOFA-attested
• Medical certificate of fitness from a recognised practitioner
• Passport bio-data page, photographs and the application form signed by both employee and employer, uploaded to TTBizLink

The Immigration Act allows a foreign national to engage in gainful occupation for a period not exceeding thirty days in any twelve consecutive months without a work permit. This is the standard route for commissioning engineers, auditors, trainers, installers and short technical visits to plants and rigs — Pakistanis use it on their visa-free entry.

• A single assignment of 30 days or less, with no other work days in Trinidad & Tobago in the previous 12 months
• Letter from the Trinidad & Tobago host company on letterhead describing the scope and exact dates of the assignment
• Assignment letter or contract from your Pakistani or overseas employer confirming you remain on their payroll
• Return ticket dated inside the 30-day window

Trinidad & Tobago has no investor, entrepreneur or golden-visa category. A foreign business owner first registers a Trinidad & Tobago company, and that company then applies through TTBizLink for a work permit naming them as director or manager. No amount of investment by itself buys residence.

• Company incorporated with the Registrar General, with a BIR file number and VAT registration where turnover requires it
• Business plan with projected accounts and evidence of capital transferred into the company
• Evidence of local jobs created or to be created
• Foreign Investment Act licence where required — e.g. more than 30% of a local public company, or land over 1 acre residential / 5 acres for trade or business
• Police Certificate of Character from Pakistan and attested personal and qualification documents
• e-Work Permit application filed by the company through TTBizLink

Resident status is granted at the Minister's discretion under the Immigration Act, typically after five continuous years lawfully in the country, or to holders of a valid work permit or a CARICOM Skills Certificate. Once granted it removes the need for a work permit. It is discretionary and slow — no one is entitled to it.

• Evidence of five years' continuous lawful residence, or a current valid work permit
• Complete immigration history — every entry certificate, extension of stay and permit
• Police Certificates of Character from both Trinidad & Tobago and Pakistan
• Full medical examination including chest X-ray and blood tests
• Proof of income — job letter, pay slips and BIR tax returns for the qualifying years

The spouse of a Trinidad & Tobago citizen or resident may be granted resident status under the Immigration Act, which lets them live in the country without a work permit. It is discretionary — marriage alone does not guarantee a grant, and the Division tests the genuineness of the relationship.

• Marriage certificate registered in Trinidad & Tobago, or a NADRA/Union Council certificate legalised and MOFA-attested if married in Pakistan
• Sponsor's Trinidad & Tobago passport or certificate of citizenship or residence, plus birth certificate
• Evidence the marriage is genuine — dated photographs, joint bank account or lease, call and travel records
• Police Certificates of Character from Pakistan and Trinidad & Tobago, plus a medical report
• Sponsor's notarised affidavit of support with pay slips and proof of accommodation

Trinidad & Tobago issues no dependant visa. A work permit holder's spouse and children enter visa-free on a Pakistani passport and then apply to the Immigration Division for extensions of stay matched to the principal's permit. A spouse who wants to work must obtain their own work permit.
