Chile visas, from Pakistan.

Chile's visitor permit for tourism, family visits, conferences or short business meetings: up to 90 days, extendable once by up to 90 further days. Pakistani nationals must obtain it before travelling. No paid work, and no switching to residence from inside Chile except in narrow cases.

• Application through Chile's Sistema de Atención Consular (consulado.gob.cl), processed by the Chilean Embassy to the United Arab Emirates, which is concurrently accredited to Pakistan
• Passport valid well beyond the intended stay, plus a photo to consular specification (colour, white background, neutral expression)
• Bank statements for the last six months and employment or business proof showing you can fund the trip
• Confirmed return or onward ticket, plus hotel bookings or an invitation letter with the host's ID or residence proof
• No remunerated activity in Chile on this permit

The residence permit for degree, postgraduate, doctoral, technical-vocational and recognised programmes at state-recognised Chilean institutions. Granted for up to two years and extendable, and holders may carry out lawful paid work up to 30 hours a week with no separate work authorisation.

• Proof of financial support — bank deposits, regular transfers, a notarised sponsor declaration, or a scholarship certificate stating the amount and duration

Chile's main employment route and the successor to the old visa sujeta a contrato, covering both employees and independent service-contract workers including IT and engineering talent. Granted for up to two years and extendable in further two-year blocks; there is no separate Chilean tech visa, so tech hires use this subcategory.

• Employment or services contract signed by the employer before a Chilean notary, then signed by you before the Chilean consulate accredited to Pakistan
• Employer's SII initiation-of-activities certificate and proof of legal representation (Civil Registry certificates of legal existence and board membership if a non-profit)
• Passport valid at least one year and a police certificate under 60 days old, both apostilled and translated where required
• Degree, licence and experience documents apostilled where the role or a regulated profession requires them
• Job-offer variant: an initial 90-day residence, extended to one year once the notarised contract and its electronic registration are filed within 45 days of entry

For foreign investors, the legal representatives and senior management of the investing foreign company, and management or specialised technical staff hired by a Chilean company in which a foreign investor holds at least 10% of the voting rights or capital — the closest Chile has to an intra-company transfer route.

• Investment of at least USD 500,000, or the equivalent in another currency, in the production of goods or services
• Carta de patrocinio (sponsorship letter) from InvestChile — mandatory, not optional
• Written description of the investment, its amount and the functions you will perform
• For an operating Chilean company: incorporation deed, SII activity-initiation certificate, electronic tax folder (carpeta tributaria) and proof the municipal patente is paid

A multiple-entry residence permit for executives and directors who must repeatedly enter Chile to manage a business or investment interest. Total presence across all visits cannot exceed six months in any calendar year, and it is a business-management route rather than a work-contract route — a salaried job with a Chilean employer needs the remunerated-activities subcategory.

• Letter or certificate from the foreign company or institution stating your role and evidencing the income you draw from this business management, apostilled and translated
• Written statement of the reasons for your visits and your economic or commercial interests in Chile

For fixed-season employment such as fruit harvesting, agro-industry and fisheries. The permit can run up to five years and be extended for two more, but presence in Chile is capped at six months per calendar year — and time held in this subcategory does not count towards permanent residence, even if you later switch category.

• Contract signed before a Chilean notary by an employer with SII-registered activity and premises in Chile, then signed by you before the competent Chilean consulate
• Documentary proof the employer has the funds to honour the contract
• Notarised copy of the contract plus proof of its electronic registration, filed within 45 days of entering Chile

For pensioners and for holders of steady income from real estate or financial assets who want to live in Chile on that income rather than on local employment. Granted for up to two years and extendable while the income continues.

• Pensioners: apostilled pension certificate stating the amount and duration, plus the most recent payment proof
• Rentistas: apostilled title to the property or financial assets, plus the lease or income statements showing the income they actually generate
• Income sufficient to cover basic needs measured against Ministry of Social Development indicators
• Passport valid at least one year and a police certificate under 60 days old, apostilled and translated
• Filed from Pakistan on SERMIG's Portal de Trámites Digitales — public documents uploaded within 60 days of issue, private within 30

Residence for foreigners starting or continuing treatment with a Chilean provider registered with the Superintendencia de Salud. Extendable while the treatment continues, and a spouse or children may accompany you as dependants.

• Medical certificate from the Chilean provider stating the illness, the type of treatment, its expected duration and its cost
• Proof of funds covering both living costs and the treatment, or health insurance that covers it
• Passport valid at least one year from the application date
• Police character certificate under 60 days old, apostilled and translated into Spanish (applicants 18+)
• Filed from outside Chile; extensions require proof the treatment is continuing and that you remain solvent

For relatives of Chilean citizens or of holders of residencia definitiva — spouse or civil partner, parent, children under 18, children with disabilities of any age, unmarried children aged 18–24 in study, and minors under guardianship. Holders may take up lawful paid work, and this is one of the few permits that can also be filed from inside Chile.

• Proof the sponsor is a Chilean national or holds residencia definitiva — a temporary resident cannot sponsor this permit (their family use dependant status instead)
• NADRA computerised marriage registration certificate, civil-union record or birth registration certificate proving the link, apostilled and translated
• Passport, or Chilean identity card if already lawfully in Chile, plus a compliant colour photo on a white background
• Police character certificate under 60 days old for applicants aged 18 and over
• Enrolment certificate for children aged 18–24 still studying, or disability certification where relevant
• Notarised declaration of care and expenses where a minor is involved

How the spouse or civil partner and children of a temporary residence holder or applicant come with them in any subcategory that admits dependants — necessary because reunificación familiar requires a Chilean or permanent-resident sponsor. Dependants may carry out lawful paid activities.
