The standard route for visa-required nationals including Pakistanis: apply online to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Guyanese sponsor receives an approval letter, and the visa is issued at the port of entry for a stay of up to 30 days. Landing permission for company directors, transferred managers and self-employed foreign nationals operating through a registered Guyanese business. Guyana has no separate investor visa and no citizenship-by-investment programme, and ISS sets no investment threshold — the permit stands on the business's registration and tax/NIS compliance, not on a sum invested.

The spouse of a Guyanese citizen may apply to be registered as a citizen. Guyanese law sets no minimum waiting period after the marriage, but the file is scrutinised closely for genuineness and compliance, and the decision rests with the Minister.

The route Pakistani nationals can use as Commonwealth citizens: registration after five years' residence in Guyana, or five years' service with the Government of Guyana, instead of the seven years demanded for naturalisation.
